For those of you who bought The War LP somewhere other than through us (hopefully you didn’t bootleg our sh*t!!), thus missing out on our official Bling47 companion piece, The War Mixtape - we’ve decided to let you guys in on the some of the fun anyway & offer up a free download of the mix.

The mix includes exclusive (for now) Waajeed instrumentals, plus Waajeed & Kenny Fresh giving you some behind-the-scenes commentary on The War LP, as well as some of their favorite war-themed tracks by other artists.

Producer Alpha-bet is a busy dude (free mixtape!)

Detroit’s Alpha-bet has amassed some impressive production credits lately. You can hear his work on NBA 2K8, the Speed Channel, MTV, the Discovery Channel, as well as Eminem and D12’s upcoming album.

He’s also been nominated as a Detroit Hip Hop producer of the year and has released a free mixtape - The Warm up: One Take Mixtape with artist, Delo.

This entire mixtape was recorded spontaneously during one day this July in a recording session at Detroit’s Keyz Studios. It’s a what Alpha-bet calls, “The NFL network before the game on Sunday”, leading to the street album Im Popular, coming late-fall, 2007.

Detroit Hip Hop download courtesy of DirtyMitten

The folks at DirtyMitten.com have compiled a cd with tracks from some of Detroit’s finest. This is actually the second installment - they released an earlier compilation as well (download that at their site).
