Vibe.com has an update on Common and his progress on Finding Forever. According to the article, the album will partly pay tribute to Common’s one-time roommate and friend J Dilla. A J Dilla production will surface on the album on at least one track which is entitled “So far to go”, featuring D’Angelo.
Kanye West, who will have produced several tracks on the project, is said to have, “tried to chop beats in the same fashion as Dilla as a way of honoring him.”
Hopefully Kanye sticks to chopping beats and lets Common stay on the mic.
